The cottage was reconstructed on the original stone and beam structure with an all-new, modern interior with all the conveniences of home. Completely self-contained, it’s ideal for a retreat from the furious pace of modern life.
Located in Califon, just 8 miles northeast of Clinton, we are close to the great State parks with two of the three largest reservoirs in the State - Round Valley Reservoir and Spruce Run Reservoir.
Beautifully Decorated Interior
The cottage has one bedroom, a living room and bathroom. All are tastefully decorated by a professional interior designer.
Relax and read in the bright living room. The new hard maple floors and the bright furnishings combine to make it a great place to watch the farm comings and goings. Or watch your favorite show on the cable TV.
The living room has big picture windows underlined by window boxes full of blooms during the growing season. From this view you can see the old farm house and the pond beyond.
All the modern amenities
The cottage sports a fully-equipped all-electric kitchen with stove/oven, dishwasher and microwave. In fact it has all the convieniences you would expect at home.
If you prefer to cook outdoors you can sizzle your steaks on the barbecue outside.
And if you would rather have somebody else cook for you - just stroll down the driveway for a meal and a drink at the bistro across the stream.
Fabulous bedroom with country views
The airy bedroom features two picture windows that look out to a pasture where you may see our Black Angus cows grazing. The queen size bed is adorned with a custom-made headboard and custom bedspread and drapes to match.
And you will love the new full bathroom which is fully tiled. While brushing your teeth you can peek out the rear of the cottage and check who’s using the riding ring.
